Bathroom "Before"

Okay, here's the  bathroom before renovation, when the leak was first discovered. Notice that it was complete with dirty tennis ball, strategically placed in the way by Lotti, in the hope that someone might stop and pick it up.

Because everyone knows if tennis ball is picked up by any humane, a game of fetch has automatically begun.

Some signs of the infamous leak and damage to the floor...

Ah, TWO tennis balls. Twice the chance of playing fetch!

The dinky little shower we had before...

If you raised your arms to shampoo your hair, your elbows could hit the walls.

Ah, more damage to the drywall around the shower. Such fun.

And so a 5 month process began...

Bathroom "During"

Little did we know how extensive the work would be. It was kind of a shock to come home after work to this...

 But then, day by day, things started looking a little better.

And we finally started to recognize that a bathroom would actually be recreated in that space.

Voila!

But wait a minute...

there is NO tennis ball in sight!

Guess all the construction and power tools, compressors, and dust must have scared Lotti away. Good thing for her that there are other rooms to play fetch in.

Breakfast with Cordel

 We also had a great visit with Cordel recently. We took him out for rainbow pancakes with sprinkles. We heard all about what he's been learning in Kindergarten, we played games,

we celebrated our victories with a high five.

Dad's Birthday

The day after Halloween, we celebrated Dad's birthday. It was an Al-extra special celebration this year.

Dad got a fabulous gift from Donna...

It is absolutely beautiful.

 Alex was all smiles...

 And dad was excited to make a wish for the coming year.
